FSX Gold Edition with Acceleration installed on Windows 7 Home Premium.

The all important FSX.CFG is found here: C:\ Users \ (Username) \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ FSX \ FSX.CFG
and you'll need administrator rights to find and edit it.

For the time being the following lines need to be added to the FSX.CFG:


			[OLDMODULES]

			SOARRec.dll = 1

			FSSound.dll = 1

The SOARRec.dll and the FSSound.dll must go into the root FSX folder.

All other gauges should go into the FSX \ Gauges folder.

The latest edition of FSUIPC4 must be installed.

Confusing: *.DLLs (Dynamic Link Libraries).
Some *.DLLs go into the FSX root folder, some go into FSX \ Modules folder, some go into the FSX \ Gauges folder and some go somewhere else. It all depends on how they are used and what they are.
And a *.gau (Gauge) is just a DLL with another extension...
